RECOMMENDATION:
Approve and authorize the Executive Director to enter into an Education Pass Agreement with Weber State University.

BACKGROUND:
This July, UTA’s Education Pass Agreement with Weber State University (Weber State) will expire. Weber State and UTA wish to renew a contract to provide transit passes to college students, faculty, and staff. The previous Education Pass Agreement was put into place in 2022 and was a three-year agreement that provided twenty thousand (20,000) authorized users with a premium transit pass.

DISCUSSION:
In the spirit of the partnership, staff proposes that Weber and UTA sign a one (1) year Education Pass Agreement. This agreement will give all students, faculty, and staff (32,400 authorized users) access to premium transit. The value of this contract is $635,510 and is based on historical usage data and estimated future ridership.
