RECOMMENDATION:
Approve and authorize the Executive Director to execute the purchase order under State Contract #PD3906, and associated disbursements with Tivitri inc. in the amount of $552,672.00 for camera system software licenses.

BACKGROUND:
This purchase is to pay for the 2024 - 2025 license fee for the Samsara platform. This system currently houses all our bus cameras on it. For preservations of claims, accidents, and safety and security issues within our bus system. With this purchase of $552,672.00 we will continue our yearly license to have access to our 600+ buses.

DISCUSSION:
This purchase will continue to align our video systems with our current system.
• Increasing our video retention
• Increasing video resolution to HD
• Increasing camera count per bus
• Adding notifications on accidents for quicker responses.

ALTERNATIVES:
Continuing to use a system that provides positive impact, and notifications help provide safety and security to our patrons and employees, give UTA the power of Investing taxpayer dollars in a long-term solution that empowers UTA to make data-backed decisions in the future.

FISCAL IMPACT:
Funds are budgeted in the Approved 2024 Safety and Security Operating Budget.
