Contract: Police Vehicle Purchase (Young Chevrolet, Inc.)
end

AGENDA ITEM TYPE:
Procurement Contract/Change Order

RECOMMENDATION:
Approve and authorize the Executive Director to execute the Purchase Order, and associated disbursements, under State contract MA3799 with Young Chevrolet in the amount of $273,912 for six (6) trucks.

BACKGROUND:
The Police Department has an aging vehicle fleet. Vehicles needing to be retired are 2011 Chevy Tahoes that are over 200,000 miles and have high maintenance costs.

DISCUSSION:
These new trucks will replace older vehicles that are overdue for retirement. UTA will purchase 2023 models, which will save UTA around $25k, in lieu of ordering 2024 models.
