RECOMMENDATION:
Approve Resolution R2021-06-07 appointing Mary DeLoretto as Interim Executive Director effective July 10, 2021.
BACKGROUND:
Carolyn Gonot has resigned her position as Executive Director of UTA effective July 9, 2021. Utah’s Public Transit District Act authorizes the Board of Trustees to appoint an Executive Director and the Board wishes to appoint an Interim candidate while we pursue recruitment for a new Executive Director.
DISCUSSION:
The Board wishes to appoint Mary DeLoretto as Interim Executive Director effective July 10, 2021. A resolution recognizing Ms. DeLoretto’s qualifications and appointment to this interim role will be presented to the Board for adoption.
ALTERNATIVES:
Trustees could nominate another individual
FISCAL IMPACT:
Compensation for the Executive Director is accounted for in the Agency’s approved 2021 Operating Budget.
