RECOMMENDATION:
Approve and authorize the Executive Director to execute the contract and associated disbursements with Intermountain WorkMed in the amount of $1,113,250 for five years (the base term). Future Board approval will be required for additional five one-year options.

BACKGROUND:
UTA’s current Occupational Medical Services contract will expire September 30, 2024. Therefore, a Request for Proposal process has been conducted resulting in the selection of Intermountain WorkMed.

DISCUSSION:
In compliance with Federal Transit Administration (FTA) and Federal Railroad Administration (FTA) requirements, and to ensure the safety and well-being of our employees and public, UTA procures Occupational Medical Services to provide Department of Transportation (DOT) required physical exams to ensure fitness for duty, post injury and trauma treatment, DOT renewals, medical issue consulting, physical ability testing, and drug and alcohol testing as required by UTA.

No alternative. A qualified Occupational Medical Services provider is industry best practice and essential to maintain compliance with DOT (FTA/FRA) requirements and to ensure the safety and well-being of our employees and public.
