RECOMMENDATION:                                                                                                                       

Approve and authorize the Executive Director to execute the Purchase Order and associated disbursements under a State of Utah contract MA3939 with Landmark Companies, Inc. in the not-to-exceed amount of $217,215.89.                       

BACKGROUND:                                                                                                                                 

UTA has received a grant to build bus stops. As part of the planned activities for the year, UTA desires to install the MSP301 project for 14 bus stops which are part of this purchase order.

DISCUSSION:                                                                                                                                      

UTA is enhancing Bus Stops with Landmark Construction, Inc. to construct 14 bus stops in Salt Lake, Davis, and Weber Counties. The Purchase Order amount has been determined to be within the scope of the State Contract Scope Agreement. The pricing has been determined to be fair and reasonable based on UTA’s Independent Cost Estimate.

Continue without improving the current bus stops, which currently are not ADA compliant.

MSP301 is dedicated to these specific federally funded bus stops.

The Purchase Order 24-03898 for $217,215.89 will be funded by the approved 2024 Capital Budget MSP 301.

Capital Budget for 2024: $240,000 available

Capital Plan for 2025: $802,000
