RECOMMENDATION:
Approve and authorize the Executive Director to execute a purchase order and associated disbursements with CVE Technologies Group, Inc.in the not to exceed amount of $381,786.04 to procure the selected hardware and associated software and licensing.
BACKGROUND:
The customer facing Network equipment that provides connectivity on the rail platforms is outdated and no longer supported by the manufacturer, creating risk for equipment failure that cannot be repaired.
DISCUSSION:
This purchase will replace the equipment that provides connectivity to the devices on the
rail platforms. This includes, but is not limited to, signs, TVMs, and validators. The current equipment is no longer supported by the manufacturer or the vendor.
