RECOMMENDATION:
Authorize the Executive Director to enter into a ski bus pass agreement with Davis County.

BACKGROUND:
Davis County and Snowbasin Resort LLC (“Snowbasin”) recognize the value of public transit and desire to support public transit for individuals traveling to the Snowbasin ski resort. UTA bus route 677 connects passengers from the Layton FrontRunner station in Davis County to Snowbasin ski resort.

DISCUSSION:
Under this agreement, Davis County will pay for Snowbasin employees and season pass holders riding UTA route 677 who tap an electronic fare card (“EFC”) associated with Snowbasin. The contract price was determined using historical data to project ridership for the coming season and providing Davis County with a twenty (20) percent discount off the published fare rates. The contract is based on a fixed amount of $49,213.
