BACKGROUND:
UTA Bylaws, as approved on July 15, 2026 by the Transit Commission, empower the Chair of the Transit Commission to appoint Commissioners to committees of the Commission. The appointment powers of the chair may extend to other committees on which a Transit Commission representative is requested to sit. Wasatch Front Regional Council (WFRC) has historically requested that members of UTA’s governing body and UTA’s Administration serve on various WFRC boards and committees.
DISCUSSION:
Several WFRC committee positions have been offered to Transit Commission members. Chair Caldwell will share Commissioner appointments that have been made and hear feedback regarding open positions that need to be filled.
