BACKGROUND:
At the end of 2022, UTA adopted its 2022-2030 Strategic Goals and Objectives. The strategic minute provides an update on one of the five UTA strategic priorities - Quality of Life, Customer Expectations, Organizational Excellence, Community Support, and Economic Return.
DISCUSSION:
Our Organizational Excellence strategic pillar highlights a well-resourced workforce that excels, innovates and demonstrates empowerment. In 2024 and planned for 2025 many teams and departments will be practicing a continuous improvement concept called GEMBA. By conducting GEMBA’s our employees are learning, growing and improving their work every day. GEMBA’s are helping drive innovation, creative problem solving and engagement across UTA. This report will share a few more details about GEMBA and the impacts we are seeing.
