RECOMMENDATION:
Approve and authorize the Executive Director to execute contract 25-03985 for Meadowbrook Battery Electric Bus (BEB) Charger Design Build, and associated disbursements, on the Design Build with Winn-Marion Companies in the amount of $952,970 to design and install 5 BEB chargers at the Meadowbrook depot.
BACKGROUND:
UTA is planning to install 5 electric bus charging stations (20 dispensers) at the Meadowbrook Bus depot. This contract would allow Winn-Marion Companies to design and build these bus charging stations. The totality of this contract is expected to take place in the year 2026.
DISCUSSION:
UTA staff is requesting approval of the contract with Winn-Marion Companies to complete the design and installation of 5 electric bus chargers (20 dispensers) at the Meadowbrook Depot. The total contract value is $952,970. These new battery electric bus chargers will allow for the expanded electric bus fleet to be charged appropriately.
